What we do

Your Automotive Repair Professionals

When you choose Precision Auto Care to perform an 18 Point Service Oil Change on your vehicle we will replace your oil filter and install up to 5 quarts of premium oil. In addition we will inspect and top off the following fluids if applicable: transmission, coolant in the reservoir, clutch, power steering, brake, battery and washer fluid. We will check the condition of the following if applicable: belts, pcv valve, air filter, breather, wiper blades and hood shocks. Additionally we will set the tire pressure to the manufacturer specification.

Precision Auto Care performs scheduled maintenance services. Our 15,000 / 30,000 / 60,000 / 90,000 mile services are performed to manufactures’ requirements. Our work is fully guaranteed, all parts meet or exceed manufactures’ specifications and our services satisfy new car warranties. Performing regular maintenance on your vehicle will help prolong the life of your vehicle and help prevent costly repairs in the future. Morning shuttles are offered for your convenience.

Timing Belt replacements are recommended by mileage. The timing belt allows the crankshaft to drive the camshaft, which in turn open and closes the valves. The belt is important because if it breaks it can cause severe engine damage or will cause your vehicle to stop running and leave you stranded. The timing belt is located behind a cover, therefore when it’s replaced it is like performing open heart surgery to your vehicle. Upon removing the timing cover we will inspect the belt, camshaft seals, crankshaft seal, timing belt tensioner, and water pump. Having the recommended repairs performed at the time of the timing belt replacement will save you time and money.

Smog Inspections are required for annual registration, change of ownership or when transferring a vehicle into the state of California. Precision Auto Care will perform a smog inspection on your vehicle and electronically transmit the information to the Department of Motor Vehicles upon completion. If your vehicle does not pass smog inspection we have a licensed smog technician onsite to perform a diagnostic and repair your vehicle at a minimal cost.

When you choose Precision Auto Care to perform a brake service on your vehicle we will do it with Precision. We perform a complete brake system inspection. We inspect the front and rear brake linings, measure the rotors and drums. We inspect the brake calipers, wheel cylinders, hardware, master cylinder, proportional valve and brake wear sensors. Precision Auto Care will install premium brake parts and get you back on the road with safe brakes.

Precision Auto Care performs Air Conditioning Services and Repairs to keep you nice and cool for those hot summer days. When performing an air conditioning service we perform a complete inspection of the air conditioner compressor, receiver drier and air conditioning lines. We perform a vacuum test on the system to confirm the system is holding pressure and then charge the system with freon .

Automatic cooling systems are responsible for maintaining the operating temperature of the engine. Flushing the cooling system provides protection from rust and corrosion to the cooling system components (water pump, radiator, thermostat, ect.) Flushing the cooling system helps keep the coolant from boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter. When performing a cooling system inspection we will inspect the hoses, radiator and radiator cap. Precision Auto Care replaces radiators, thermostats, hoses, water pumps, heater control valves, and heater cores.

Precision Auto Care performs electrical diagnosis and repairs. Your vehicle does not start? What could it be? Depending on the symptoms we will diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs. We install batteries, starters, alternators, fuel pumps, and many other electrical components. Having a problem with your windows, door locks, lights or accessories ? We are able to diagnose and repair these systems too. Your vehicle has many different systems that we have the ability to diagnose, repair and get you back on the road in no time.

“Check Engine” light or “Service Engine Soon” light – This light illuminates when the computer senses an incorrect reading from a system. The computer will store a code(s) in the vehicles computer. Precision Auto Care will connect our scanner to the vehicles computer to retrieve the codes and then diagnose the problem with that specific system. It is important to have the problem diagnosed when the light comes on. When a component is failing it can cause other components or systems to not function at full capacity. NOTE: If one of these lights comes on, it will prevent your vehicle from passing a smog inspection.

Precision Auto Care performs complete steering and suspension inspections and repairs. Steering and suspension are important systems to your vehicle. Having them inspected periodically can help prevent costly repairs later. Low fluids cause lack of lubrication which can damage other components. When your shocks /or struts are worn or leaking they do not absorb the friction of the road, which causes your tires to wear unevenly or prematurely. Precision Auto Care replaces power steering hoses, power steering pumps, rack n’ pinions, gear boxes, tie rod ends, sway bar links, control arms, shocks and struts.

Automatic transmission fluid, when used longer than recommended, can result in poor shifting or even complete transmission failure. Maintaining your transmission fluid will extend the life of the vehicles transmission. It cleans and lubricates the transmission parts and will provide smoother shifting. Manual Transmissions, Transaxles, Differential and Transfer Cases – Gear box fluid provides lubrication for the sets of bearings, shafts and gears located in the different types of gear boxes which operate under high stress and high heat. These fluids should be replaced periodically to extend the life of the transmission and the rear differential. When having your transmission or differential service performed at Precision Auto Care we assure you, that we install the manufacturer recommended fluid for your vehicle.

Precision Auto Care performs regular maintenance and repairs. Tune-up maintenance has faded away over the last ten years. Most new vehicles do not require spark plug replacements until they reach 60,000 miles. Newer vehicles are being installed with Platinum, Double Platinum and Iridium Spark Plugs. These plugs are being made to last longer and are more expensive. Most newer vehicles tune-ups will consist of spark plugs replacement and inspecting the ignition coils. The air filter, fuel filter and cabin air filters will be recommended based on manufacturer specifications. When performing a tune-up on a traditional ignition system we will replace the spark plugs, inspect the distributor cap, rotor, ignition wires and air filter. We will make all external adjustments to specifications when applicable.

Precision Auto Care will inspect the tread of your vehicle's tires when performing the regular maintenance services. We will advise you when your tires are worn and become a safety issue. The tread of the tire is what grabs the road and provides traction. When your tires’ tread is worn out it becomes a safety issue as you may hydroplane when driving in poor weather conditions or it could put you at risk of a blow out. We mount and balance your vehicle's tires and get you back on the road in safe conditions.
